First let me explain that I'm actually currently living in the area of this case so it's a really big deal over here. Second if you have not heard about the Casey/Caylee Anthony trial then let me explain it for you. Basically, long story short there was this lady, Casey Anthony, whose daughter, Caylee Anthony, was missing and then murdered. She was missing for over 24 hours before she was reported and a bunch of other stuff. It's a little foggy as far as evidence goes, but basically Casey Anthony was on trial fighting a death sentence for possibly killing her own daughter. Long story short, there wasn't enough evidence to prove she killed her daughter to order a death sentence and so people on the internet are saying she "walked free."
If of course she actually committed the crime to begin with. The evidence was really inconclusive as far as proving a murder, all it did prove was that the woman shouldn't have been a mother. She wasn't a very good mother, and if anything is good about this it's the law that might come out of it. They are thinking of now making it illegal to wait over 24 hours to report a missing child. I personally don't get why people are getting so worked up over this. Half the people on the internet are happy that the law protects people and the other half are furious that she wasn't giving the death sentence.
My personal opinion is that it's something you can't really do anything about and you can't help. I'm really glad for the addition of the new law, but I do agree that the woman was a terrible mother. There still wasn't enough evidence to give her the death sentence though, not at all. Maybe if it was a certain amount of years in prison or life in prison she would have been given a different answer. That's something to think about, but for now according to the law she can't be tried again so she gets to be free. And it's 100 percent legal, which is a good thing I think.

I Just Want to Study Mermaids
Hello again, sorry that I haven't been around lately. I suppose I could give you some bullshit excuse about what I've been doing but the truth is that I've just been lazy and on tumb1r all the time so I haven't been updating this.
I did actually want to get a chance to talk about everyone cheering about Osama being dead, and how I don't particularly find this to be a good thing by any sense. However I waited too long and it become old news and now I feel stupid for bringing it up once more. But if you had been wondering what my opinion on this was, there you go. I don't think it's right to cheer for the death of anyone and I think that people should become better people and forgive others, in spite of all the bad things they do because even though it's hard it will end up giving you inner peace in a way.
Another thing I wanted to talk about that's all over the internet is probably the Casey Anthony trial. Everyone is really upset with that lately too, but it's still not too late to talk about that one so I'll do that in a post following this one.
As an update you should know that I've started Uni and it's still summer so none of my friends have started yet, and that's hard. Still I'm only taking one class and I'm having a great time. I'm taking World Religions and it's really interesting. I have my first exam Tuesday on Hinduism and Buddhism, and I should be studying for that but I needed a break.
Anyway I've noticed that a lot of people don't really care about religions, except for their own. And I don't really think this helps anyone. Personally I think at the root of everything, every religion is basically the same. They can basically be looked at as philosophies and they should be considered by a wider range of people because they can hold perspectives so different from your own. Just a little thought for that one. Uni is alright, I like one of my suite mates so far, and I like having my own room. I do miss home and my friends a lot, but there are enough distractions here to keep me entertained so I suppose it's not too bad. I just want to have fun and study whatever I want to study like mermaids or unicorns or just fun curious stuff. Of course that stuff would not help me get my degree by any chance. I'll try to follow up with something more interesting. If any of you are going to Uni soon or in Uni now good luck and I wish you well my lovelies.
